Applying GIFT, a Gene Interactions Finder in Text, to fly literature
نویسندگان
چکیده
UNLABELLED A number of freely available text mining tools have been put together to extract highly reliable Drosophila gene interaction data from text. The system has been tested with The Interactive Fly, showing low recall (27-34%), but very high precision (93-97%). AVAILABILITY The extracted data and a web interface for submission of texts to GIFT analysis are available at http://gift.cryst.bbk.ac.uk/gift CONTACT [email protected] SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION Additional documentation, such as the dictionaries and the reference sets, are available at the GIFT website.

IC-Finder: inferring robustly the hierarchical organization of chromatin folding
The spatial organization of the genome plays a crucial role in the regulation of gene expression. Recent experimental techniques like Hi-C have emphasized the segmentation of genomes into interaction compartments that constitute conserved functional domains participating in the maintenance of a proper cell identity. Here, we propose a novel method, IC-Finder, to identify interaction compartment...
متن کاملSpatial dynamics of Phlebotomus sand-fly ecological condition in response to climate change
Background: Changing the climatic pattern can lead to major changes in the geographical distribution of infectious diseases. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of climate change on the favorable bio-climatological zone for leishmaniasis sand-fly living which is a vector of Leishmania in Iran. Materials and Methods: Data of the climatic factors affecting the biology of sandflies...
متن کاملEffect of a thermal power plant waste fly ash on leguminous and non-leguminous leafy vegetables in extracting maximum benefits from P and K fertilization
Although the Indian population is largely vegetarian, not much attention has been given to the cultivation of vegetables, as compared to other crops like cereals, pulses and oil seeds. Therefore, the present study was conducted on two leafy vegetables, spinach (Spanacia oleracea L.) and methi (Trigonella foenum graecum L.) commonly grown in Aligarh, as the two popular vegetables of Indian diet....

متن کاملThe Effect of Supplemental Irrigation and Cultivars on Population of Safflower Fly (Acanthiophilus Helianthi Rossi.)
Damage caused by water shortages leads to physiological and biochemical changes in metabolism of plants and make them predispose to attack by pests and diseases and reduce the quality of the crops. In order to evaluate the effect of supplemental irrigation on safflower fly (A. helianthi) population of safflower cultivars, an experiment conducted as a split plot based on randomized complete bloc...
